About Us
In 1994, six local citizens began meeting monthly to discuss the possibility of forming a local community foundation and endowment to address emerging needs in the community and provide a charitable organization that could receive larger donations.
Musselshell Valley Community Foundation was established to create an endowment for the benefit of charitable projects in the Musselshell Valley as well as to encourage philanthropic giving in our area.

An endowment fund is a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding. Endowment assets are invested. Each year, a portion of the value of the fund is paid out in the form of grants to support the work of non-profit organizations in Roundup and the Musselshell Valley. In this way, an endowment fund can grow and provide support for its designated purpose forever. MVCF provides grants to community organizations four times each year. Your donation will help to increase the funds available for granting. All donations are tax deductible, some qualify for a 40% Montana Tax Credit.
